Initial Jobless Claims were 351,885

For the week of Jan 11th, release date 01/16/2025.

The Prior year number was 291,330.

That's an increase of 60,555,

A 20.78% increase.

It's the highest print since 2022.

The last 3 September Lows,

The NSA numbers have been a succession of higher lows.

That is viewed as a significant increase,

On top of a not so robust retail season.

This is viewed as progression into potential recession.
